We use Inspire all day, every day. From basic names and addresses on postcards to complex campaigns with highly customized documents and procedures. The slow speeds of other applications are one problem that Inspire handles very well for us - it's really fast. The ability to connect into a database is another great advantage. A more general response is how robust this platform is. It handles every challenge we throw at it, and we recognize we're only using a small fraction of what the software has to offer.

  • There are some UI issues we hoped would be resolved in R15 that weren't, it would be great to see those resolved.
  • Seems to struggle to run smoothly on the Mac platforms.
  • We have a "sheet backgrounder" module, would LOVE a sheet foregrounder one. We have work arounds but would love to do that natively.
We do use it for smaller jobs, and it feels a little bit like an overkill, so management asks us if we're using the right tool for the job. It's a valid question.

We use Quadient Inspire in the 'IT' department. We use it to create complex mail merges, statements/invoices and other types of personalised mailpieces. It is only used in the IT department as they create everything that gets mailed. It has helped with many business problems, for example a customer sends us a pre merged PDF which they would like mailsorted. Through Inspire we are able to extract the address data from the PDFs using TextinRect which gives us a data file to work with.
  • It keeps the graphic quality and colors of the supplied PDFs. Other software we have used to personalise PDFs has reduced the DPI and even changed the colors. Inspire is great at keeping everything as it should be.
  • The imposition tools within Inspire give a vast range of getting the most out of your printers for the least cost. You can easily arrange documents 2 up or 4 up on SRA3 sheets for printing, cutting and stacking.
  • The TextinRect tool is extremely useful for pulling information off a Digital Document allowing you to manipulate it in many ways.
  • The little known MinMax Generator module is useful for seeing if all your text fits within a flow, if not the 'First Fitting Auto' feature enables you to shrink text automatically if it doesn't quite fit.
  • I'd like to see more help in the way of scripting. The language is unique to Quadient Inspire so it can be a bit daunting, even coming from a programming background, to know the correct syntax.
  • The ability to use TextinRect with UNC paths as we have multiple licences for production so we can run more than one 'Production' at a time but this doesn't seem to work on the server with UNC paths.
  • I find inserting tables somewhat troublesome, I've also found that if you copy a table and paste it to another page in your layout module, although it makes a new table in the Table tab, if you change the contents of your new table, it also changes the contents of the table you copied.
It is well suited for any mail merge you need to do. It is a one stop shop and it does more than you could imagine. You can have multiple data files and multiple artworks/documents. Inspire enables you to source your data, mailsort it and then pull the correct artwork through using conditions for the correct data record, this enables you to do complex mailmerges where before, say in MS Word, you'd have to do everything separately.

In our organization, We are currently using Quadient Inspire Designer, Inspire Content Manager, Inspire Interactive and Inspire Scaler in our projects. Now a days in the market Quadient is one of the most reliable CCM applications. By using Quadient Inspire products we can deliver paper-based, e-mail-based and digital-based communication to customers.

  • So far everything is seems fine with Quadient products.
  • They should include easy migration with all other technology.
  • They should include features to rename all the layout objects automatically as per the context of the respective project.
I have developed very simply one-page letters with Quadient Inspire products as well as complex booklets of 200 to 300 pages. I personally feel that by using Quadient products we can give personalized output to our customers. Through Quadient products, I have always been able to solve any type of CCM problem.

The suite of [Quadient] Inspire consists of Content Manager, Designer, Interactive, and Scaler. Certified Inspire Designer developers create master templates and other form/document types in addition to developing Scaler workflows for production processing. The master templates created by the developers are made available through Content Manager to Business Authors at various Lines of Business for enhancing with additional content in the Inspire Interactive environment.

We do three things with Quadient Inspire: Honor communication preferences by sending letters either in paper form or electronically through secure delivery; Consolidate similar communications to personalize and customize letters; Maintain a central repository of content, fonts, images and variables.

We're currently using Quadient for dozens of letters across multiple departments. It helps us make our communications consistent, accurate, timely and personalized. Before using Quadient Inspire, we had to do manual changes across hundreds of letters. Now we can make changes to things like colors, phone numbers, CST hours and more in minutes. It's taken away a lot of the frustration and busy work from my day-to-day job and allows me to focus on improving communications to better the member experience.

Quadient Inspire works great across multiple letters, departments and use cases. We use it primarily for letters but I know that it can be used with great success for direct mail pieces like postcards or fliers. Quadient Inspire has been used in my organization for over 9 years as a composition tool for both batch and real time communication generation. It is used in several divisions for both Marketing and regulated communications. Quadient helps our company better manage content for both print and digital channels along with dynamic HTML communications.

Quadient is a great software provider with great support for their Inspire product. They are a front runner of new features to the CCM and CXM software market. We use their product for both composition and print file reengineering. I would recommend this software for anyone trying to move from print to digital output.

Our Customer Communications Management team selected Quadient Inspire as the strategic tool for Composition and Delivery for our correspondence need. We are migrating several legacy applications to the Inspire platform. We are also using Quadient DAS and messenger to help drive digital strategy and customer preference. We have been able to utilize the Inspire suite to automate many manual processes and assist internal users in completing their work more efficiently.

We are using Quadient Inspire Designer, Inspire Content Manager and Scaler. It is used across our organization in all of our facilities. Moving to Quadient [Inspire] has improved the amount of time to produce production files. It has given us the ability to use common templates for web previews and production.

Quadient [Inspire] is well suited for almost any variable data creation and production. It provides scalability when needed. Compared to other variable data software it is much easier and faster to use. It is also much faster at producing production files then other variable data software. We use the Quadient Inspire product range to manage our CXM and CCM needs. Everything revolves around the journey maps in CJM. From this we have a complete view of the comms journeys and how online and offline channels interact from the customer's perspective, including volumetric production data. We have linked all templates from Interactive and Designer into the maps so that examples of the comms are seen in the sequence the customer receives them. We also use Messenger to manage and deploy email, SMS, and soon-to-be WhatsApp messages.
  • The ability for existing systems and technology to seamlessly integrate with Quadient Inspire—we have been able to link production data through Power BI as well as customer insights.
  • Wide range of tools to deliver all CXM requirements in one—from journey maps, to document composition, to fulfillment, and analytics.
  • Build once and deploy across many channels—speeds up development and allows for true personalization.
  • Within CJM: Not easy to share maps with a large group of people, still needs to be done on an individual basis which is time-consuming.
  • Not able to unload all file types into maps. It would be great to have video.
  • There are a lot of third-party suppliers that make up the full services in Inspire. This limits the development that Quadient can do to.
It is a fantastic toolset for managing all CCM requirements for most high customer communication volume businesses that want to manage this in-house, as well as developing full end-to-end journey maps that show things from the customer's perspective. Quadient is still developing its proposition in the CXM space, which is a new area of the market so the proposition is evolving. It is still the leader in this area of journey orchestration and linking CX with communications.

I consult other Quadient users in the region. I help them with creating workflows, from basic to advanced. My customers use Quadient Inspire Designer on a daily basis. They come from various industries—print shop providers, telecommunication, insurance, and banking. The main usage is data transformation and document creation.
  • Able to import any possible input—text and CSV files, XML, databases and anything else.
  • Very quick creation of workflows. Any imaginable output can be created in a short time period.
  • Easy to use modules can get you started very quickly, but advanced scripting features provide a tool which can handle any possible task.
  • It is a bit harder to start on your own without a week of guided training (or at least not recommended).
It is perfect for any large-scale variable document composition. Workflows and templates for Invoices, reminders, contracts, and many more can be created in a matter of hours. The performance is awesome! Creating millions of pages in a matter of hours. The handling of the output is exceptional—grouping, merging, splitting, you name it. It is particularly well suited for large-scale migrations. I have personally managed many migrations, reducing the number of templates by as much as 80%.

I have been using Quadient Inspire on a daily basis (for many years) for data manipulation and document composition. So far it has been able to handle every scenario, no matter how complex, and yet is quick and easy enough to also use for simple assignments. This versatility makes Inspire Designer a true 'one size fits all' solution.
  • The ability to set up complex universal templates to handle frequently repeated tasks is a real time saver.
  • Reading in data files and performing many layers of computations and formatting in a single pass helps to minimize touch points, which in turn minimizes human error.
  • Is there a useful output format that is not supported? I haven't come across a need yet that cannot be met.
  • One shortcoming would have to be in the documentation, which is impressive, yet... since the scripting language used is proprietary, a more concise and comprehensive explanation of all the available commands (including syntax and examples) would be helpful.
From multiple data inputs to multiple data and / or document outputs, no matter how many steps are required in between, Inspire Designer has been up to the task. The learning curve is not difficult, and yet, the learning never ends. I am constantly finding new ways to utilize this set of tools to accomplish tasks that previously were handled with other tools.

Quadient Inspire is being used solely within the IT department. Inspire Designer is used by our organisation to compose complex cost-effective documents for printing and mailing. It addresses the problems that other software causes such as faster processing times, user-friendly scripting, high-quality output features and many more.
  • Totally user-friendly. All GUI interface allows you to see all the changes that you are implementing, also the scripting wizard allows even the most basic programmer to produce complex documents.
  • Superior processing times. Compared with others I have used on the market this is by far one of the fastest composition tools on the market.
  • The additional (included) university program allows users from across the globe ask questions if needed to the group which includes Quadient professionals so if the general public cannot help you, a professional will. Always in a timely fashion also which helps with tackling issues with tight turnarounds.
  • Native imports and text in rec features allow you to work and manage other types of work supplied by customers.
  • Satori functions allow you to complete the job solely within Quadient Inspire. From processing to mailsort to creation. This allows the user to automate regular jobs and free up resources for other work.
  • Usually quick to de-bug/resolve any issues, currently having a problem saving production profiles. Its more of a little annoyance than a problem and its not a time consuming fix. Maybe I'm just being lazy..
  • No more issues that I have currently come across that haven't already been resolved.
